'The kind Ms. Geum-Ja' Lee Young-Ae surprised the local moviegoers twice in Lido, Venice.

At the 62nd Venice Film Festival, the oldest of the three major world film festivals, director Park Chan-Wook and actress Lee Young-Ae of 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance', one of the in-competition films, attended the film's official screening and walked on the red carpet.

The screening took place at the Sala Grande theater at 10PM on September 3 along with the red carpet walk. Lee Young-Ae wore the Korean traditional costume Hanbok, comprised of a short red blouse and a dark gray skirt, with her hair put up in a chignon, and stole the camera flashes of the local press.

"The originality of the film surprised the audiences, and they were again surprised by the warm and elegant beauty of Lee Young-Ae who showed up in Hanbok, which is in dramatic contrast with the image of the cold avenger 'Geum-Ja'," said a marketing personnel of CJ Entertainment in charge of supervising the film crew's schedule in Venice.

"The local reaction to Lee Young-Ae's Hanbok was just as enthusiastic as the reaction to the film," he added.
