Lee Young-Ae wins Best Actress at Sitges Film Festival
Lee Young-Ae, the leading actress of 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance' (directed by Park Chan-Wook, produced by Moho Film), won the best actress award at the Sitges International Film Festival of Catalonia which was held from October 9 to 18.
CJ Entertainment, the distributor of the film, announced on October 18 afternoon that "Lee Young-Ae of 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance' grabbed the best actress award at the Sitges film festival."
'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance' had been selected in the 'OFICIAL FANTÀSTIC' section, the official competition section of the festival.
Along with Brussels and Fantasporto film festival, Sitges film festival is considered a major world fantastic film festival. Last year, Park Chan-Wook's 'Oldboy' won the best film award.
This year, the festival put a particular emphasis on Asian films. Along with three Korean films, many Asian films were included in the competition, such as 'Seven Swords' from China, 'The Great Yokai War' of Japan's Takashi Miike, and 'Shutter' from Thailand.

well blogger its a pretty tight competition in a festival like that.. and it is really an honour to her i think to be recognize as an actor.. as she was previously more well known as a model.
I'm glad for her as this gives her confident to go higher..aim higher in her acting career
