The commercial left a deep impression on viewers with the model Lee Young-Ae's gracefulness, watercolor-like pictures and its message for modern humans to take time and wait as the nature does, winning 'Best Commercial Chosen by Consumers Award'.
Last year, the commercial boosted Woongjin Food's share in the fruit-vegetable juice market by 175%. In particular, the company's market share climbed to the top for tomato and aloe products. 'Jayeon-Eun' also won Best Brand Award of 2004 in last October, co-sponsored by Korea Consumer's Forum and The Korea Economic Daily. It has truly gained a firm ground as the representative brand for fruit and vegetable juice in Korea.
To continue their success of last year, Woongjin Food renewed their contract with the actress Lee Young-Ae and filmed a new commercial on March 28.
"We decided to extend the contract because Lee Young-Ae matches the pure and clean image that we seek for our product," explained a Woongjin Food representative. "In addition, the fact that she is currrently the most well-known and trustworthy model also contributed to our decision."
It is said that Lee Young-Ae also gladly accepted the offer, as the commercial conforms to her image and it encourages health and nature.
The shooting took place in a forest full of ripe tomatoes and grapes. Despite the untimely cold weather, Lee Young-Ae had to wear a sleeveless one-piece skirt and stand in rain for hours. Although she looked tired from the movie production that had continued until early morning the previous day, her natural performances in scenes where she feels the nature looking at the fresh grapes and tomatoes in spring rain and shows a satisfactory smile while drinking 'Jayeon-Eun' drew exclamations from the surrounding people.
The new 'Jayeon-Eun' commercial will be aired on TV starting in late April.
Currently Lee Young-Ae is shooting Park Chan-Wook's new movie 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance' where she performs as the leading female 'Geum-Ja' who avenges herself on Choi Min-Shik.
